Gas Portable Generators

With increasing home power outages, no longer are gas generators for contractors and campers alone. In fact, a generator can keep a family protected from harm and save thousands of dollars in damage. Key features for the HY3100 include an AVR alternator which provides smooth voltage and an oil alert system with automatic engine shut-off. All Hyundai gas generators meet EPA requirements.

Hyundai portable generators are fueled by gas and include 120-volt power outlets like the ones in the walls of your home. When the generator is running, you can plug appliances and tools directly into these outlets. Some gas portable generators also include 240-volt outlets (that is, the kind of outlet for an electric dryer or for other large appliances).

Home portable generators are available to run one or two critical home devices when utility power is interrupted. Smaller units allow the homeowner to plug an appliance directly to the generator.

Once situated, fill the generator with the required type of gas and oil and start the unit. Startup can be as simple as pressing a switch, but on some you'll have to yank a manual recoil pull-cord.
